Abandoned Asylum

While most famous for his surreal and otherworldly fantasy scenes, award winning fantasy artist Anthony Christou has always had a soft spot for horror as well. Sharing a birthday with one of the kings of horror, H.P Lovecraft, Anthony will occasionally break out of his mould to create something truly terrifying.

One of the most popular locations for horrors is the abandoned insane asylum and for good reason, for a long time they were sites of real world horror as inmates where abused and experimented on. This artwork that came out around the same time as Batman: Arkham Asylum particularly resonated with some people.
