This mystical white crow was inspired by the classic Greek Myth of “Why the crow is black?” The myth goes that the crows or ravens in some versions were once white and served Apollo, the god of the Sun. Apollo sent a crow to spy on his lover, Coronis only for the crow to see her cheating on him. Apollo was so angry when the crow told him that he scorched his feather’s turning them black.

A really bad case of don’t kill the messenger as all crows and ravens have been black ever since.

In this version Anthony wanted to look at the idea of a crow that managed to escape this punishment and so managed to remain white. This crow is now a character in his popular fantasy series, Luminous Ages.
