Castle Highlands

This artwork by fantasy artist, Anthony Christou won first place in the Gnomon Workshop.

This was one of the earliest artworks which inspired Anthony’s popular fantasy comic book series, Luminous Ages. The bird winged elephants flying towards the sunset reflect the surreal and mythological elements that would become such an important part to the world building of Luminous Ages. However while the elephants create a feeling of Asian origins the structures and landscape bring to mind the hidden secrets of Europe.
