Artists like award winning fantasy artist, Anthony Christou are very lucky in Australia to not only have beautiful scenery themselves but to also be so close to the majestic views of New Zealand. While Australia often brings images of Mad Max to the minds of people there are also many lush areas full of waterfalls. Likewise New Zealand, which became home to Lord of the Rings thanks to it’s grand mountains and dazzling vistas.

This can create a strange connection for Australian and New Zealand artists, where our beautiful Southern Lands evoke images of brave Vikings journeying from the safe harbours of their Fjords.
