KATHERINE OF CERRIDWEN

This artwork was created as a commission for a wonderful Kickstarter supporter. It depicts a peaceful scene of an Irish angel creating a beautiful flower display for the animals of the forest, kingfishers, rabbits and foxes, as they gather by the pure waters of a pool in a peaceful glade.

Cerridwen was a sorceress most well known in Wales. She is most famous for owning the cauldron of poetic inspiration which helped create the famous bard, Taliesin. However many people now think of her as a goddess of rebirth, transformation and inspiration.
