Kitsune
Kitsune is a character in the fantasy series, Luminous Ages by award winning, fantasy artist Anthony Christou. They are inspired by the creature from Japanese legend by the same name, also known as the nine tailed fox. It has been important to Anthony to depicted many cultures and mythologies in his popular series, Luminous Ages while still adding his own artistic interpretation to them.
Kitsunes are generally thought to female and tricksters. They have been the inspiration for characters and creatures in many stories and games from Japan such as the Pokemon Vulpix and it’s evolved form Ninetails.
China and Korea also have similar mythological creatures however while the Japanese Kitsune has been known sometimes help people with it’s tricks, the Chinese Huli Jing and the Korean Kumiho are generally thought to always be hostile to people and best avoided.
